NANO-TECHNOLOGY S.P.A.D.A.®

One of our core technologies:
The S.P.A.D.A.® bionanotechnology allows long-term antimicrobial protection on a variety of surfaces. When the S.P.A.D.A.® molecules are applied to any surface, they attach to it with strong bonds and form a durable and protective layer against microbes. This layer withstands long periods of time and is typically only removed through abrasion. Because S.P.A.D.A.® physically destroys microbes and does not contain toxic elements or chemicals to which the microorganisms could adapt, it offers durable and ecologic antimicrobial protection. HOW S.P.A.D.A.® BIONANOTECHNOLOGY WORKS The S.P.A.D.A.® layer, which covers the surfaces at a microscopic level, is formed by individual molecules polymerizing or joining together. We call these molecules nano-swords because of the way they work in order to destroy microbes. 1. THE BASE ADHERES The base of the molecule adheres strongly to other S.P.A.D.A.® molecules and to the molecules of any surface (plastics, metals, textiles, wood, glass, wool, etc.). 2. THE CENTER IS ELECTRICALLY CHARGED This way it always keeps the “sword” in a vertical position. 3. THE POINT PIERCES MICROBES It acts like the point of a sword: it pierces the cellular membrane/wall and it destroys microorganisms.
The S.P.A.D.A.® bionanotechnology is the base for effective, safe and long-term ecological antimicrobials. |
